In the area of fiction, I have written a screenplay and a children's book.  The screenplay, called "The Whale Hunter," concerns a whaling captain and his son.  It is set in the 1830's to 1850's.  You are welcome to read in its entirety by clicking the link below.  If you like it, and know someone in the film industry, I offer a commission for the person who helps me sell the screenplay!

My children's book, called Babou the Bear, is not yet published, but you can read the comments of children who have read a draft.

Whale Hunter:  This screenplay, set in the 1830's to 1850's, explores the relationship between Captain Ephraim Harding, his son Rudy, and the whales they hunt for their livelihood.  The theme of the story centers around redemption -- told in a manner similar to The Old Man and the Sea Click Here to Read.

Babou the Bear:  This children's book tells the story of Bear Island and the little bear, Babou, who brought peace and healing to her island.  Most suitable for children ages 7 through 11, it appeals to all ages.  (Please click here to see children's comments on the book).
